I’ve struggled with this for a while now and can’t seem to figure it out. Any idea on this would be greatly appreciated. I tried to get just the parts that are relevant to the problem. Without this code, it will scroll all of the way through the page, but with no momentum and with a lot of jerky motion. So -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch does work for a 'part' of the body. This is a pared down code from a site in development. In iOS, my page will scroll with momentum about a fourth of the way down in the page, but then stop. As suggested in the previously mentioned the article, one workaround could be to stick with -webkit-overflow-scrolling: auto, at the cost of the nice user experience it provides. I have a div the has overflow: hidden and -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch. Then the yellow boxes obey the z-index that is set for them. None of the -webkit-backface-visibility: hidden, -webkit-transform: translate3d(0,0,0), etc. HTML & CSS musicarr November 11, 2012, 5:19pm 1. I found that ios13 discarded the CSS -webkit-overflow-scrolling: auto. You should see the off screen content come into view, BUT the yellow boxes that were off screen are no longer below the black box - until they scrolling has come to a complete stop. I set -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch in CSS,Then When I scroll the elements, it will randomly jam,I've tried everything I can find,But it didn't work. Now to see the problem, swipe horizontally across the black squares. Here’s a jsfiddle link: (You will need to scroll horizontally to see the whole page). I don’t remember this being a problem with iOS 5. When I add the CSS property and set it to touch, it scrolls horizontally as expected. It only scrolls horizontally, not vertically, as I want. This works fine without -webkit-overflow-scrolling, but I don’t get the native bouncing on the iPhone. This seemed to start with iOS6 on the iPad 2. I have a div that needs to scroll horizontally. the scroll that used to break had many elements within it and all I had to do was make the ul elements scrollable separately. When I add the CSS property and set it to touch, it scrolls horizontally as expected. However, it also scrolls vertically. This works fine without -webkit-overflow-scrolling, but I don’t get the native bouncing on the iPhone. It only scrolls horizontally, not vertically, as I want. The problem is that z-index is being ignored on elements some elements. I had as well a scroll that never broke and by looking at the html inside it I realised that if you apply the -webkit-overflow-scrolling:touch in ul element it will never break. I have a div that needs to scroll horizontally. I have a div the has overflow: hidden and -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch. Adding some more css fixed it for me, i get the smooth scroll in ios safari like this: -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch -webkit-transform: translateZ (0px) -webkit-transform: translate3d (0,0,0) -webkit-perspective: 1000 If its a webb app it might work for you too Share.
